Due to its popularity, the ticket queues at Embekke Devala can sometimes be long. To make your visit more convenient, we offer an online ticketing option, allowing you to skip the queue at the entrance. Physical tickets can be arranged for delivery before your visit upon request. Please note that this ticket grants access to the Devala only; guided tours are available at an additional cost if you’d like an enriched experience of the site’s history and architectural details.
Embekke Devala is a unique cultural site, where visitors can explore the Hevisi Mandapaya (Drummers' Hall), featuring 32 intricately carved wooden columns, and marvel at the "Madol Kurupawa," a remarkable wooden join that holds 26 roof rafters in place. These engineering and artistic feats make Embekke Devala a must-visit for art and history enthusiasts.
