A protected area offering outstanding levels of scenic beauty, the Horton Plains National Park is a haven for most of the habitats, endemic animals and plants that belong to the wet and montane zones. The park is home to some of the most extensive areas of montane cloud forests that have managed to survive along with lush grasslands and spectacular cliffs. Some of the main attractions of the park include the World's End precipice which is a sudden end that drops down about 900 meters as well as Baker's Falls. The plains are also the headwaters of three major rivers in Sri Lanka including the longest one, Mahaweli. Large herds of Sri Lankan sambar are found here, while you can easily spot many bird species too.

If you are an avid naturalist and love hiking through diverse mountain terrain, then a visit to the Horton plains National park is highly recommended. We provide you the convenience of booking an entrance ticket online, so that our reference allows you to obtain a physical ticket from our representatives prior to reaching the park. Kindly note that the booking should be done in advance so that you can avoid delays and queues. The entrance ticket is only a pass to enter the park and does not include any additional service such as guides which can be booked separately.
